The attached letter is signed onto by some 43 elected officials in support of UFCW Local 2013 effort to bargain a fair contract on behalf of our members who work for Americare, Inc.. These hard working men and women work in the Home Healthcare Industry and need to be treated with dignity & respect; they need to be paid a fair wage and benefits package; they need to be appreciated by the employer who enjoys huge profits off of the backs of these HHA’s who do GOD’s work by caring for those who cannot care for themselves and by helping families who need that assistance each day from care givers who often times become like family to them. We demand that Americare’s owner come to the bargaining table a bargain a fair contract for these workers who bring value to his company!
